John Hooyman serves as Chief Financial Officer, bringing deep financial expertise and a decades-long commitment to employee ownership. A CPA and proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, John earned his degree in Accounting and graduated summa cum laude.
He began his career at Ernst & Young in the Assurance practice before making a pivotal move that introduced him to the world of ESOPs. John spent 18 years in Accounting and Operations leadership roles at Direct Supply, Inc., a fast-growing, employee-owned company in Milwaukee.
In 2018, he joined Kesslers Diamonds as their first CFO, where he led the Accounting, IT, HR, and Strategy functions. During his tenure, he matured the company’s financial processes, drove growth initiatives, and helped build long-term sustainability for their ESOP. He then served briefly at Western Building Products before joining OwnersEdge.
John is an active member of the ESOP community and a frequent participant in ESOP conferences, events, and roundtables. His career reflects a consistent focus on financial stewardship, operational excellence, and the transformative impact of employee ownership.
